Sfé Monster

Halifax Nocturne was last night- I am still disgustingly sick but I couldn’t miss it so I drummed myself up and went out for some wandering. Nocturne is a massive nighttime art event that covers pretty much all of downtown Halifax- it’s become my favourite event in this city.

It was difficult to take pictures because it’s an outdoor art exhibit at night, but you get the idea: ghost ships and masque performances and lantern lawn ornaments and so, so, so many galleries and shop window performances.  The best part was that it’s now cold enough for Haligonians to bundle up and everyone was so happy to be wearing their tuques and scarves and warm winter coats.  I am so in love with this city.
