draweverycharacter: 51 - Brian Oakstory: Weird Pets created: 2010 Brian attends trade school and is a classmate of Max in the metal fabrication program.  Brian is an island boy (from Nanaimo)- big, quiet, and still not entirely convinced he wants to be Max’s friend (despite the two of them being housemates, and eventually opening a metal shop business together).  He doesn’t talk about it, but he got his girlfriend pregnant in high school- They broke up a few years ago, but he still supports her and spends long weekends and holidays with his daughter.  Brian keeps Max on a need-to-know basis (for instance: Max doesn’t know Brian’s girlfriend was a selkie), because Max has a habit of being a gigantic insensitive oblivious asshole and Brian honestly can’t cope with half of the things Max does/says without thinking. Brian pretty much only wears Canucks gear and forgot to shave his playoff beard after last season.  He’s not taking the lockout well.
